What does it cost?
We work on a fixed fee that's agreed with you before we start, and you only pay it if your claim succeeds. Nothing upfront, and nothing at all if it doesn't succeed.
Are you the Government, or connected to them?
No. We're completely independent and not connected to the DWP in any way. You can apply yourself, free, at gov.uk. We're here for people who'd rather not face a 32-page form on their own.
Will it affect my State Pension or my other benefits?
Attendance Allowance isn't means-tested, so your savings and income don't come into it, and it won't reduce your other benefits. In fact, you could get extra Pension Credit, Housing Benefit or Council Tax Reduction on the back of it.
Do I need to have a carer to claim?
No. You don't need anyone actually looking after you, and you don't need to be housebound. It's based on the help you need — not the help you currently get.
Do you need to visit me at home?
No — everything is done over the phone, at a time that suits you. There's nothing to travel to and no one turning up at your door.
Where do you cover?
England, Wales and Northern Ireland. We can't help with Scotland, as Attendance Allowance has been replaced there by Pension Age Disability Payment.
How long does the whole thing take?
Our part is quick — your form is completed and submitted within 24 hours of our call. After that it's down to the DWP, and they currently take around 6 to 8 weeks to reach a decision.
What happens if I'm turned down?
We don't leave you there. Mandatory Reconsideration and Appeal support is included at no extra cost.
Can I do this for my mum or dad?
Yes, and plenty of people do. We're happy to deal with you on their behalf — just let us know on the form.
